STEP-1

 

SURFACE PREPARATION

THE ENTIRE INSIDE OF THE TUB MUST BE CLEANED THOROUGHLY

 

NOT JUST THE BOTTOM

Clean Tub Inside Thoroughly

Remove ALL Dirt,  Soap Film and Body Oils!

RINSE TUB THOROUGHLY

DO NOT USE SHOWER HEAD TO RINSE TUB

USE A LARGE CUP TO RINSE TUB

Shower head will get water on walls

 CAUTION: If the walls get wet you will need to be wiped them dry.

WARNING: The Star Fiber towel will pick up body oils etc from the un-cleaned walls, and contaminate the clean part o the tub when drying it.

 

IMPORTANT: After rinsing the tub, it MUST be scrubbed a SECOND TIME to insure it is perfectly clean! Any soap film, hair rinse wax or body oil left on the tub surface will cause the mat to peel later.

AFTER TUB HAS BEEN THOROUGHLY RINSED

  1. CLOSE DRAIN OUTLET

  2. RUN 6" OF HOT WATER INTO TUB

CLOSE DRAIN OUTLET TO PREVENT LOSS OF WATER

ALLOW HOT WATER TO  STAY IN TUB A MINIMUM OF 5 MINUTES

 

Hot water will speed the drying of the tub. The warm surface will eliminate any condensation forming on surface. The heated surface will create a better bond with the mats adhesive backing.

DRY TUB THOROUGHLY WITH STAR FIBER TACK CLOTH

If necessary use a second DRY tack cloth to remove any residual moisture

SURFACE MUST BE DRY!
