CAUTION:

NEVER USE A METAL BLADE OF ANY KIND ON A FIBERGLASS SURFACE

IT WILL DAMAGE THE SURFACE!

Metal blades on fiberglass will create numerous cuts and gouges!

USE ONLY A HARD PLASTIC SCRAPER ON FIBERGLASS

Scraper for fiberglass is easily made from a Formica type (laminate) sample chip. Sharpening one edge to make a hard plastic scraper. Sharpen edge by rubbing it against a piece of coarse sand paper

Laminate scraper can be re-sharpened and it will NOT damage the surface!

Laminate sample chips can be picked up FREE

at any building supply store selling laminate counter tops

DO NOT use metal razor blades to scrape CAULK from FIBERGLASS

USE ONLY A HARD PLASTIC SCRAPER

Caulk can be easily removed, easy to apply and ready to use in a few hours.

In order to get a professional look on any restored or refinished tub it is essential that all old caulking material must be removed from the surface of the tub before refinishing then re-caulk.

We recommend the use of a premium acrylic caulk.

NEVER use pure silicone as tub caulk. It is difficult to work with, often looks messy when dry and it mildews easily, plus it is next to impossible to clean or remove at a later time.
