Your customer will at most glance at the headline of any article or ad. The headline must immediately get their attention and hold their interest or their eyes move on to the next headline.

Don't Let anyone talk you into placing your ad on the call an expert page.

This will invite every pressure washing guy in town to compete with you on every estimate you give from customers calling from this section of the paper.

"THE CHEAPEST GUY GETS THE WORK"  YOU LOOSE!

Your money would be better spent as a donation  to your favorite charity!!

  You must stand out not blend in!  If you blend in you will eventually fade away. Your customer wants an expert that will do the job right the first time and be there for a long time to come. If you try to compete with them by charge the same prices they do, you will fail

You will fail because you do not understand that there is a vast difference between cleaning a roof and providing a roof protection service program that insures a beautiful roof forever.  A annual maintenance service is not free. The customer expects to pay for the service annually and he expects to have a beautiful roof forever more.

Ask yourself, why do customers pay a professional lawn maintenance service to cut their grass trim their hedges etc? Why do they pay a professional lawn care service to fertilize, the lawn and apply weed control each month? They want it to look good and in order to keep it that way they need professional help.

They maintain a beautiful home by maintaining every part of their investment. The lawn is just one component of their property. They maintain a beautiful home not because they half to but because they want to! Just look at what people pay to keep their lawn looking nice.

 In addition most of the people who have a measure of pride and income to go with it have their automobiles washed weekly. If they spend $10 to $20 dollars each week to keep their automobile clean that amounts to $500.00 to $1000 per year just to have a clean car.  That person feels justified in the expense because of their pride of ownership and status.

 

That is more than you would ask to keep most roofs stain free for the same period of time.

The appearance of their automobile is important to certain individuals and a stain free roof is just as important to others. Do not assume that just because you would not pay a certain amount for a certain service that everyone feels just as you do! Maybe you would never pay someone to wash your car but there are others who do!
