    The countertop refinishing process:

    • Remove caulk around countertop
    • Strip countertop, taking all sealants off
    • Repair chips & scratches (chips and scratches are common to be found on countertops)
    • Four step cleaning process (a thorough cleaning is very important for film coating to adhere to the surface)
    • Roll on coatings  (One coat of Numica is all that is required in most cases)
    • Caulk around seams of countertop as needed

NuMica was designed to be rolled on no roller marks show after drying

 

1. NuMica Cabinet Glaze is a self leveling hybrid urethane which produces a very smooth, high-gloss finish!

2. NuMmica Counter Glaze is a self leveling hybrid urethane, Matte Gloss for counter surfaces. Looks and feel like the texture of Formica, Wilson art etc.

IMPORTANT: When restoring cabinets always coat cabinets with NuMmica Cabinet Glaze (high gloss) and the counter surfaces with NuMmica Countertop Glaze (matte gloss).  Even if cabinets and counters are the same color, giving a different texture to the two surfaces makes the job look more professional. If both surfaces have the same texture the overall project will look like it was painted.

Like every thing else this requires a little practice to become a professional but after several tubs you will realize it is far easier than spraying since drips or runs can easily be corrected immediately with the roller. The finish is self leveling which results in a very smooth, high-gloss finish!
